The Franklin Institute kicked off a brand new Virtual Reality exhibit after hours on Wednesday, October 25th.
There was a number of exhibits highlighting the different applications of virtual reality.
My favorite was watching someone draw with the Google Tilt Brush in the IMAX Theater. You’ll get to see kind of blurry picture of the city with Love Park sign below!
Other highlights included learning how virtual reality is being used to help cancer patients manage their stress. Using biofeedback in running to provide context for a trail run by Plas.md.
By the time we went to check out the Holodeck the wait was an hour and a half. So that’ll have to be next time!
This was done in conjunction with VRPhilly, keeping Philadelphia in the spotlight of emerging tech!
Watching someone draw in virtual reality via the awesomeness of IMAX is a surreal experience.
